Crowthorne, Berkshire - 21 January 2009: Service provider customers of fibre optic communications specialist Fibre Technologies Ltd (FTL) will benefit from the ability to rapidly execute automated service creation for managed Ethernet access, as well as the ability to undertake real-time end-to-end service level agreement (SLA) monitoring. This is as a result of a new partnership with Finnish SLA, service creation and performance management expert, Creanord.
Creanord produces the EchoVaultTM SLA EMS (element management system); a performance management and reporting solution that presents service providers with an invaluable real-time picture of activity on their networks. In addition to this per second SLA and QoS (quality of service) reporting, the EchoVault SLA EMS has the ability to perform automated RFC -2544 performance testing, providing seamless out-of service or in-service throughput, latency and packet loss measurement. This automated SLA and performance testing helps operators reduce the network downtime and improve the quality of different CoS (class of services).
The Creanord solution is deployed in conjunction with the Accedian EtherNIDTM and MetroNIDTM Ethernet demarcation devices.
