Crowthorne, UK – 18 May 2009: Fibre Technologies Ltd (FTL) provide first line maintenance support to its installations on the Hertfordshire County Council cross-campus network. Fibre Technologies will provide a first line support service for the MRV Coarse Wave Division Multiplexer (CWDM) equipment deployed by FTL to maximise capacity on the Council network, and will ensure commitment to delivery of a four-hour-to-site service level agreement to the customer.

Fibre Technologies’ customers can benefit from three tiered service levels, from which a support package can be created that is specific to an individual business’ needs. Tier one covers deployment, where customers can call upon a team of experienced engineers for assistance rolling out new technologies. Those with existing networks can choose the network operation centre and fault management service (tier two) that helps customers manage their data traffic more efficiently. The third tier offers first line network support for customers, maintaining and providing spares management and delivering round-the-clock assistance throughout the UK.

Ian Hunt, managing director of Fibre Technologies, comments, “We are delighted to be able to provide ongoing peace of mind to Herts. County Council that their solution is fully supported. Our Services Team enable us to provide a round-the-clock support for our clients, whatever their specific need. This contract demonstrates our ability to work together and deliver a total end-to-end package.”
